What does FFELP mean?
The Federal Family Education Loan Program, or FFELP, is the program under which many students borrow loans to finance their education. FFELP loans include federal Stafford, Parent PLUS, and GradPLUS Loans. These loans are guaranteed by the federal government, and the maximum permissible interest rate is also set by the government, ensuring low-cost loans for students and parents.
