The Grace Period is the amount of time you have before you begin repayment on your student loan. For a Stafford loan, you have six months of grace after you graduate, cease half-time enrollment or withdraw from school.
PLUS and GradPLUS loans have no grace periods. For these loans, repayment begins within 60 days of disbursement. Borrowers can, however, use deferment and forbearance options on these loans to postpone repayment while the student is in school.
